This Privacy Policy explains what information VirtueSig (“we”, “us”) collects when you visit virtuesig.com, why we collect it, and how it is used. We aim to collect as little personal data as possible.
What we collect
- Server logs. Our hosting infrastructure records standard request metadata — IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp, response status — for operational, security, and abuse-prevention purposes. Log entries are retained no longer than is reasonably necessary.
- First-party analytics. We run self-hosted analytics to understand which stories are read. We collect approximate location (country/region from IP), referrer, browser metadata, and the pages you visit. We do not share this data with third parties.
- Email subscriptions. If you subscribe to our newsletter or create an account, we store your email address and any preferences you have set. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in our emails.
- Communications. If you email us, we retain the message and your address for as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent personal information.
- We do not run third-party advertising or behavioural tracking pixels.
- We do not transfer your reading habits to ad networks or data brokers.
Cookies
We use a small number of strictly functional cookies (e.g., to remember whether you are signed in or whether you have dismissed a notice). Our analytics may set first-party identifiers used purely to count distinct visitors.
Your choices
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you by contacting editorial@virtuesig.com. If your browser sends a Do-Not-Track signal, we record it as a custom dimension and respect it where possible.
Children
VirtueSig is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will note the update on this page and adjust the “Last updated” date above.
